Ontario's Assault on First Nations Lands -Domicide or Ecocide

Domicide- Domicide is defined as '...the deliberate destruction of home
by human agency in the pursuit of specified goals, which causes
suffering to the victims...' Two main categories are recognised:
'extreme domicide' brought about by overt violence, mainly war and
other armed actions and 'everyday domicide'. The latter is associated
with development projects, for example mining exploration and
development and is often justified as being for 'the public good'.

The specified goal in the case of KI is mining exploration which has
certainly been the cause and continues to be the cause of much
suffering. Fortunately the KI NO put an end to the threatened
destruction of "homelands".

Clearly the mining industry is a case of everyday domicide, sold to
First Nations as being for their "own good" when in reality it is only
for the good of Bay St., Wall St., Howe St. and other streets where the
financiers of mining speculation gather and where you wont find many or
any indigenous peoples.

Follow the money in most junior mining speculations and lo and behold
a lot of money doesn't end up spent on the ground. Fleecing the Lambs(
shareholders) is what this industry is really all about.

Ecocide-a society that is destroying itself by overexploiting its own
resources.

Might just be the dominant western disease. Tar sands. Global
Warming.Peak Oil.Peak Gold. Peak Diamonds.
